The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) supports excellence.
It rewards with a cash prize of 1,000 euros those who ranked first in the national examinations of 2024 and have enrolled in all departments of Greek universities, including Military Schools, Security Forces Schools, and Merchant Marine Academies.
It also rewards graduates from university departments in the country who complete their studies with the highest grades in their department, provided they have not exceeded the foreseen study time, with a one-time payment of 1,000 euros.
In addition, it organized a special event for the first time, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, on Thursday 9th of January 2025, during which the top five students admitted to each department and faculty of Greek Universities through the 2024 National Examinations were awarded an excellence certificate. For the 2,258 students who ranked first, IKY received the kind sponsorship of Aegean, which provided an airline ticket for their participation in the event and a trip to any destination in its network.
For the Administrative Board of IKY, excellence is a steady goal, and they are committed to ensuring that IKY will continue to make every effort to provide equal opportunities and support thousands of young people in their scientific and personal development.
