ANNOUNCEMENT
The State Scholarships Foundation, in implementation of the Joint Ministerial Decision (JMD) no. 69893/Ζ1/21-6-2024 of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (Government Gazette Issue 3661/Β/26-6-2024) and more precisely, article 1 thereof, hereby announces the implementation of a programme for funding the participation of groups of students in international competitions held abroad for best scientific team or for best participant in the scientific field of the competition.
Applications for the funding of groups of students willing to participate in international competitions in academic year 2024-2025 shall be submitted by the Secretariats of the Greek Higher Education Institutions from 1/9/2024 to 16/10/2024, which shall certify the representation of the Department in the subject competition by these groups. In their application, universities shall provide information on the groups and their scientific supervisors as well as on the competitions in which the groups are willing to participate. The evaluation and selection criteria of the groups to be applied by the Administrative Board of IKY are described in detail in article 1, para. 4, of the aforementioned JMD.

In the framework of the programme, a lump sum funding of 500€ is awarded to each successful group member – student to participate in an international competition abroad, while a maximum amount of 5,000.00€ per participating group (for groups with more than ten members) is foreseen.
