Erasmus+ is the European Commission Programme in the fields of education, training, youth and sport aiming to support personal development, enhance the skills and the employability of the participants and support the modernization of education, training and youth in all the fields of lifelong learning (higher education, vocational education and training, adult education, school education, youth activities, sport). For the 2021-2027 programming period, Erasmus+ seeks to offer more opportunities for participation for all, placing a key priority on inclusion and diversity. Enhancing digital skills and the environmental responsibility of the participants as well as reinforcing active citizenship and civic engagement are key priorities of the Programme.
The Programme also offers new opportunities for cooperation among organisations actively involved in formal and informal education and training, youth and sport to support them in their cooperation for the creation of new training material, new teaching methods, the exchange of good practices among partners and the dissemination of results on a wider scale.
Moreover, Erasmus+ supports new flagship initiatives, such as European Universities, Erasmus+ Teacher Academies, Centers of Vocational Excellence, Jean Monnet Actions in the fields of school education and vocational education and training.

Ministerial Decision no. 28159/Η1/16-03-2021 appointed ΙΚΥ as the National Agency responsible for the implementation of the EU Programme Erasmus+ in the fields of education and training for the 2021-2027 programming period.
In addition, through agreement 101074893-EPALE NSS GREECE, ΙΚΥ was appointed as the National Support Organisation for EPALE, the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe.
