The European Language Label is an initiative of the European Commission in the field of multilingualism aiming at showcasing innovative language teaching and learning methods, in view of upgrading the language education process as a whole across Europe.
The European Language Label is awarded to bodies or individuals developing tools and implementing teaching methods which constitute good practices and which are ideal for being applied in language contexts different than the ones they were developed.

The general framework for language learning and linguistic diversity promoted by the European Commission for the enhancement of basic language skills is described here. More precisely, Erasmus+ is the driving force for language learning, offering young people opportunities to improve their knowledge of languages by taking part in study and training programmes abroad. The opportunities offered are presented in brief in the following brochure.

The State Scholarships Foundation, the Erasmus+ National Agency for education and training, is implementing the “European Language Label” action. Once the relevant national Call for proposals is published, submitted proposals are assessed by language specialists in terms of content, adherence to the specific selection criteria set by the European Commission and coherence as to the European and national priorities established.
