The Programme foresees a series of tools to foster the participation of people with fewer opportunities. In addition to extra funding to support the participation of organisations involved in the Programme and the mobile participants themselves, the Programme offers the possibility to implement short-term flexible mobility formats and organise preparatory visits for optimum organisation of a mobility period.

Under Key Action 2 (Cooperation Partnerships and Small-scale Partnerships), bodies must foresee the travel of people with fewer opportunities at grant application stage. In this case, the lump sum amounts received for the project shall be used for funding the travel of these participants.
