For the 12th consecutive year, the educational and cultural institutions and embassies from 13 European countries participated in the 2024 European Day of Languages, held on Saturday, 28 September 2024, at the Pedion tou Areos. The 2024 European Day of Languages focused on the theme of “Environment”.
The celebration included workshops for children, while there were many booths for information, gifts and interaction with the institutions and the audience.
“Language skills are a necessity and a right for EVERYONE!”; this is one of the key messages that the European Day of Languages wishes to convey.
About the European Day of Languages
The European Day of Languages was established in 2001 to support and promote Europe’s linguistic diversity and the development of language skills so as to enable its citizens to play their full part in democratic citizenship in Europe and preserve Europe’s multicultural identity.
