TCA “Accreditation Consortia” in Zakynthos completed – A training opportunity for organisations

The Erasmus+ National Agency/IKY organised a Transnational Cooperation Activity (TCA) entitled “Accreditation Consortia in the field of AΕ, VET, SCH” from 10 to 13 June 2024 in Zakynthos. The objective of the seminar was to train organisations, such as the Directorates of Education, on how to apply for Accreditation Consortia. A total of 58 persons from across 12 countries participated in the TCA.

Participants worked in small transnational groups in order to familiarize themselves with the preparation/writing of an application for Accreditation Consortia. Groups worked under the guidance of executives from the participating National Agencies and an external expert invited by the Erasmus+ National Agency/IKY.

The Erasmus accreditation offers organisations long-term access to opportunities for learning mobility in the framework of Key Action 1 by supporting opportunities for the professional and personal development of learners, teachers, educators and other teaching staff, which must be foreseen in the development plan submitted by each body.

Moreover, through the Accreditation Consortia, groups of organisations, such as the schools belonging to a Directorate for Education, can participate in the Programme as members of the Directorate without holding an Erasmus accreditation, since the accredited coordinators of mobility consortia can lead groups of organisations based on a common development plan providing for mobility activities abroad.
