The new President of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), Ms. Vasiliki Kinti, speaks about the organization!

Συνέντευξη εφ’ όλης της ύλης παραχώρησε η νέα Πρόεδρος ΔΣ του ΙΚΥ, κ. Βασιλική Κιντή, στο πλαίσιο ανάληψης των νέων της καθηκόντων το προηγούμενο διάστημα.

The new President of the Administrative Board, Mrs Vassiliki Kinti gave an in-depth interview as part of taking on her new responsibilities in the previous period.

Mrs. Kinti referred to the history of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) and its enduring value, shared her vision for the organization to become a key supporter of students and researchers in their studies and work, through an annual scholarships scheme, and to contribute to the development of an educational and research policy, responding to the challenges and the needs of the country.

Additionally, she discussed the increase in the number of Erasmus+ beneficiaries and stressed the need for a balanced distribution among demographic and social groups, as well as the importance of prioritizing underrepresented geographical areas in the Programme. Ms. Kinti emphasized the new priorities of the IKY’s new Administrative Board, which include expanding international collaborations, outreaching the Greek diaspora, and enhancing the management of IKY bequests.

Ms Kinti mentioned that 7,000 scholarships that IKY will be announced in the upcoming period for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, funded through the Operational Program “Human Resources and Social Cohesion” of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) 2021-2027, as well as cooperating programs with private and public bodies, as well as bequests managed by IKY.
