Undergraduate Scholarships

The State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) is dedicated to supporting students by providing the right incentives to help them complete their studies on time. Since 2017, IKY has been awarding undergraduate scholarships to vulnerable and other social groups to support this goal. These scholarships, co-funded by NSRF 2014-2020, aim to support the on-time completion of studies for diligent low-income students, as well as ensure equal participation in higher education for people with disabilities and individuals from vulnerable and other social groups.

Additionally, scholarships for undergraduate studies are awarded from the bequests of (a) Klearchos Tsouridis and (b) Alexandros Hatzopoulos, which are managed by IKY.

IKY has awarded one-time scholarships to students who excelled in the Higher Education Entrance Exams and to those who achieved the highest grades in their academic semesters. In the past, IKY also awarded scholarships to students who placed first in the entry or leaving certificate exams of Vocational Upper Secondary Schools (EPAL) and Vocational Upper Secondary Apprenticeship Schools (EPAS).

IKY has also awarded significant scholarships to support outstanding but financially disadvantaged undergraduate students studying at Greek Higher Education Institutions. These scholarships were exclusively funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus.
